Description

We are looking for a dynamic customer service oriented Specialty Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing practice.This is a very fast paced environment.. High Energy, Organized, Highly Pleasant - Personal.Candidate must be well-organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and have excellent communication skills. Punctuality & Strong attendance is a must. He/she must be able to work under pressure and work well with others. He/she must have the willingness and ambition to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited:

Greet patients with outstanding customer service, whether on the phone for appointments or concerns or in person when they arrive for appointments with one of our specialty doctors

Make appointments and appointment reminder calls. Contact patients to reschedule missed appointments and send letters for missed appointments.

Protect the patient’s rights by maintaining HIPPA standards

Understand and master the physicians working protocols and procedures

Maintain and update patients records with accurate information.

Work closely with our referral department in obtaining authorization for appointments and getting patients scheduled quickly

Resolve patient’s concerns when needed. Assist in educating the patient’s of the worker’s comp process and how things will affect the patient and instruct them on anything that they may need to do

Work closely with each physician as needed.

Schedule surgery and other needed services as required

Efficiently and accurately enter orders and needed RFA’s into the system ordered by the doctors. Provide prescriptions to the patient given by the doctors.

Review any referral denials and report to the physician promptly and/or submit needed items that the adjuster may need to support approval.

Type and send status update reports

Track and receive transcription reports. Review the reports and send to appropriate parties

Assist Front Office by answering phones

Communicate with other staff to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all patients

Maintain a professional and organized working environment

Assist and perform other duties as assigned by the Center Manager


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Medical Experience required

  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills, comprehension skills

  • Above average computer skills, knowledge of Word and Excel. Ability to learn the EMR and Google Suite

  • Bilingual (spanish speaking)

Working conditions

  • 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday

  • Minimal over time may be necessary when working with the specialty doctor

Physical Abilities

  • Capable of working 8 hours per day

  • Sitting, standing and minimal lifting

  • Ability to stay on task

  • Repetitive movements (computer work)
