Duties and Responsibilities:
Handles incoming calls to the Referral department
Sort referral emails and faxes
First point of escalation for all case related issues requiring guidance
Responsible for daily completion of assigned patient referrals
Reviews, processes and supports Specialist referral requests
Obtains authorization for provider referrals
Provides all necessary information such as medical records, prescriptions, etc. to payor
Communicates with stakeholders, payor, employer, and patient as appropriate
Records all appropriate information via company’s EMR
Builds relationships with provider, employer and payor communities
Assist with Follow up Phones calls to Insurance adjusters
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical Experience required
Excellent communication, verbal and written skills, comprehension skills
Above average computer skills, knowledge of Word and Excel. Ability to learn the EMR and Google Suite
Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred
