About the Role

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant who is enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to grow with our expanding practice. This position plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences and smooth clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and occupational health-related information
  • Assist physicians during exams, minor surgeries, and procedures
  • Administer injections and dressings as directed by the provider
  • Perform basic clinical tasks including vision and hearing tests, drug and alcohol testing, and PFTs (if applicable)
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and available for use
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EMR and other systems

Administrative & Operational Support:

  • Set up and clean exam rooms between patients
  • Maintain clinical supply inventory and assist in ordering as needed
  • Communicate clearly with staff, providers, and patients to support coordinated care
  • Follow all safety, compliance, and confidentiality standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and break policies

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent training preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting (occupational medicine experience a plus)
  • CPR/BLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong technical/computer skills (EMR experience preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required

  • Ability to collaborate within a team while working independently when needed

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
  • Prior experience in an occupational health clinic is a plus

Compensation
