About
the Role
We are currently seeking a Medical
Assistant who is enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to grow with our
expanding practice. This position plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional
patient experiences and smooth clinical operations.

Key
Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and
occupational health-related information
- Assist physicians during exams, minor surgeries, and
procedures
- Administer injections and dressings as directed by the
provider
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vision and
hearing tests, drug and alcohol testing, and PFTs (if applicable)
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, sanitized,
and available for use
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EMR and
other systems
Administrative & Operational
Support:
- Set up and clean exam rooms between patients
- Maintain clinical supply inventory and assist in
ordering as needed
- Communicate clearly with staff, providers, and patients
to support coordinated care
- Follow all safety, compliance, and confidentiality
standards
- Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings
- Adhere to scheduled work hours and break policies
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent training preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting (occupational medicine experience a plus)
- CPR/BLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Strong technical/computer skills (EMR experience preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required

- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

- Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to delivering excellent patient and customer service
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and procedures
- Experience with scheduling and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Proficient in word processing and general computer applications
- Professional demeanor with a strong focus on quality and patient care
- Ability to collaborate within a team while working independently when needed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
- Prior experience in an occupational health clinic is a plus
Compensation
