Nurse Practitioner (FT, PT, Per Diem)

Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for initiating, developing, and implementing treatment plans of care in accordance with state laws, ProActive medical protocols, and applicable policies. This role will support our commitment to providing high-quality occupational health services by ensuring the proper diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care and Treatment:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with approved nursing techniques, protocols, and best practices.
- Observe, assess, and evaluate patient conditions, documenting reactions to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Evaluate the outcome of patient care and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and preventive health measures in accordance with physician guidelines.
- Prescribe or recommend appropriate drugs, treatments (including physical therapy or inhalation therapy), and other related therapeutic procedures.
Clinical Leadership:
- May oversee nursing staff, providing direction for nursing care to ensure continuity and quality of service.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services to ensure optimal patient care.
Diagnostic and Ancillary Services:
- Perform and manage diagnostic testing, including but not limited to blood draws, urine drug screens, PFTs (pulmonary function tests), EKGs, injections, audiograms, and other lab work.
- Ensure the correct chain of custody for drug screens and proper documentation for laboratory pick-up and shipment.
Medical Record and Equipment Management:
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient health records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, company policies, and state laws.
- Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of all clinical equipment, documenting as required.
Compliance and Regulatory:
- Ensure all clinical operations adhere to ProActive’s policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist with program record-keeping and the safeguarding of employee health information.
General Duties:
- Perform other clinical duties as directed by the Center Medical Director, in alignment with established policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including Continuing Medical Education (CME) to maintain licensure and knowledge of evolving medical practices.

Requirements:
Qualifications and Requirements:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related health field
from an accredited college or university.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related health field
from an accredited college or university.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse
Practitioner program.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse
Practitioner, compliant with state laws and regulations.
Job-Related Experience:
- A minimum of two years of
demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent
care, or an emergency setting.

regulations governing rehabilitation services and
clinical care.
