Description
Position Summary:
The Occupational Medicine Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and administration of the center’s clinical and business operations. This role ensures high-quality occupational health services are delivered efficiently while maintaining regulatory compliance, financial performance, and excellent customer service. The manager works closely with clinical staff, physicians, employers, and support teams to support employee health, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Manage daily operations of the occupational medicine center, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Oversee the delivery of services including pre-employment physicals, drug screening, injury care, wellness programs, vaccinations, and health surveillance
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate administrative and clinical staff
- Foster a positive work environment promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional development
- Ensure staffing levels meet service demand and quality expectations
Customer & Client Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison with employer clients, ensuring satisfaction and timely service delivery
- Collaborate with clients to understand occupational health needs and provide customized solutions
- Handle client concerns or escalations with professionalism and urgency
Financial Management
- Manage center budget, including revenue goals, expense control, and resource allocation
- Oversee payroll management to ensure appropriate staffing levels and cost efficiency, supporting a positive financial impact
- Monitor billing practices to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies for performance improvement
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure the center complies with OSHA, DOT, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards
- Oversee documentation, reporting, and case management processes
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness.
Strategic Planning
- Participate in strategic planning and business development efforts
- Identify opportunities for new services, market expansion, and partnerships
- Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for service or operational enhancements

- Master’s degree or relevantrn certifications (e.g., COHN, COHM, MHA) preferred
