Position Summary
The Physician provides comprehensive occupational health and urgent care services, applying evidence-based medical principles to diagnose, treat, and manage work-related injuries and illnesses. This role partners closely with clinical staff and leadership to ensure exceptional patient care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat work-related injuries, illnesses, and urgent care conditions
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in accordance with company policies
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care and customer service
- Support management in identifying, analyzing, and resolving operational or clinical challenges
- Evaluate existing clinical practices and recommend improvements to enhance care quality and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, corporate policies, and quality standards
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical medical practices
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and assist in resolving clinical issues
- Communicate staff feedback, concerns, and suggestions to the Medical Director
- Support clinical staff in understanding and adhering to policies and procedures
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain relevant professional affiliations
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of occupational medicine practices and work-related injuries and illnesses
- Familiarity with applicable medical regulations, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency with medical equipment and clinical documentation
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Education & Licensure
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Active and unrestricted Physician license in the state of practice
- NRCME Certification (required or ability to obtain)
Experience
- Prior experience in Occupational Medicine preferred
- Background in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Practice considered
