Front Desk Receptionist (per diem)

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional,
high-energy, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our
growing occupational medicine practice. This role is critical to creating a
positive first impression and ensuring smooth clinic operations in a
fast-paced, high-volume environment.
The ideal candidate is organized,
detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives under pressure. Strong communication
skills, punctuality, and consistent attendance are essential. This position
requires a proactive team player who is eager to learn, adaptable, and capable
of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional patient
service.
Key
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited
to:
- Greet and check in patients, employers, and visitors in
a courteous and professional manner, in person and by phone
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls; respond to
patient and employer inquiries or direct them appropriately
- Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently to
optimize provider time and clinic flow
- Notify clinical staff of patient arrivals and
communicate delays or schedule changes as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Collect, verify, and update patient demographic,
insurance, and financial information
- Ensure accurate filing, retrieval, and confidentiality
of medical records and documentation
- Monitor clinic supplies and front office inventory;
anticipate needs and coordinate ordering and receipt
- Follow clinic policies, procedures, and compliance
standards, including HIPAA confidentiality requirements
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks as
assigned to support clinic efficiency
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to
support patient care and overall team success
Requirements:

- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with

- Proficiency with basic computer systems, scheduling
software, and word processing
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical
receptionist preferred
- Experience in occupational medicine or workers’
compensation strongly preferred
